My name is Anne Holden.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners (license #51520).  I have years of experience supporting people in all stages of life through times of crisis, change, sorrow and joy.  My work has been in schools, hospitals, and community clinics in my hometown of Austin, Texas, as well as in Portland, Oregon. 

I believe counseling can be a powerful transformative process, driven primarily by the client, with guidance from a therapist who is suitable for that individual.  I hope that I may be able to provide that guidance for you.

Prior to becoming a social worker, I worked as an elementary school and creative movement teacher.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Hispanic Studies and Elementary Education from Vassar College and my Master’s of Science in Social Work from the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin.  In my free time, I enjoy running, yoga, travel, reading and being outdoors with friends, family and my dog.
